RFID Ceramic Tags

RFIDHY designed the RFID Ceramic Tags to withstand environments requiring metal applications while complying with evolving industry standards. The tags feature the ISO-18000-6C-compliant Alien Technology Higgs-3 RFID chip with 512 bits of memory, and the reading with writing will be a distance of up to 3.3 feet (1 meter). The tags have a hard ceramic exterior shield to protect them from exposure to extreme conditions and are IP67-rated (see Ceramic mini RFID tags into RFID applications).

RFID tag maker RFIDHY offers a line of high-temperature passive RFID Ceramic Tags, for use in high temperature environments.

Passive RFID Ceramic Tags Readout range extension and miniaturization is an important challenge with far-reaching goals. Here, This new ceramic tag concept that relies on different physical principles. When we use state-of-the-art readers and RFID chips, the ceramic tags readout distances can reach 22 m. Furthermore, we may extend this number further with improving matching circuits. Miniature RFID tags, capable to establish long-range communication channels, can find use in many applications. Including retail, security, Internet of Things, and many others.

RFIDHY recently released an ultra-small RFID Ceramic Tags designed for tracking small tools—those used during surgery or aircraft assembly, or at nuclear sites. The tag measures just 5 millimeters by 2 millimeters by 1.5 millimeters (0.2 inch by 0.08 inch by 0.06 inch). (Please see Ceramic Mini RFID Tags).

Earlier this year, RFIDHY Manufacturing introduced a new on-metal tag to ease the use of passive RFID UHF Ceramic Tags tracking on metallic items. The small tag is designed predominantly for use in managing surgical tools, but could also work with other tools or small metallic products (see RFID Tags in Tools Equipments and UHF Ultra Small RFID Chip Magic Series).
